HUNTING
In
the fall, you can enjoy some of the best hunting in the state. The
Moosehead Region is among the best in Maine for Black Bear hunting.
We also have a lottery for the annual Moose hunt. As far as Deer season,
many trophy white-tail have come out of this area.

As
summer turns to fall, the Moosehead Lake Region is ablaze with rich
autumn colors. The lakes, mountains and forest are absolutely breathtaking.
The area offers several scenic drives for viewing natures magical
transformation. You can also relax & enjoy the foliage by boarding
the antique steamboat Katahdin for a 3 hour cruise on Moosehead Lake.

CROSS-COUNTRY
SKIING
In
the winter, cross-country skiing is one of the many outdoor activities
you can enjoy. Lily Bay State Park offers groomed trails for cross-country
skiers.

DOGSLEDDING
Come
learn about the exciting world of dogsledding. A sense of adventure
is all you need. Sit back and enjoy a sled ride with an experienced
Maine Guide and his team of dogs, or drive the team yourself! Theres
nothing more exhilarating on a brisk winters day.

SNOWMOBILING
The
area caters to the sportsman year-round. The Moosehead Area is the
gem for the snowmobiler. The Moosehead Trail circles the lake providing
over 100 miles of well groomed, marked trails that connect with Maine's
Interconnected Trail System (ITS). There are many businesses along
the trail that offer good food, gas, service and entertainment! You
can access the ITS trails from our lodge, over 2,500 miles of groomed
trails are available for you to enjoy!

you do not own a snowmobile, we highly recommend Northwoods Outfitters
for your sled rental needs. You can call them toll-free at 1-866-223-1380.
If snowmobiles are rented for two or more days, they can be kept at
the lodge overnight. Be sure to reserve your sled(s) well in advance
of your stay and tell the staff at Northwoods Outfitters that you

SNOWSHOEING
Enjoy
a Maine tradition. Its a great way to be active in the winter
without spending a ton of money. If you can walk, you can snowshoe.
Quietly observe nature in the protection of the snow-covered woods.
Lily Bay State Park offer nicely groomed trails. We also have a short
trail right here at the lodge.
You
can also enjoy Ice Fishing and Ice Skating.
